Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

figment of my imagination 6.The weekend is here and just one more day left in the month of February, which means there is one more day left of the “free” eBook sale. Did you take advantage of this sale? I know quite a few people have because it is showing up on my author book sale report. I love watching that chart rise, it shows that my books are being bought, which means readers are getting to know me and my stuff. I love that! What an introduction! So keep clicking that Buy Now button on Amazon, because it really does put a smile on this author’s face. One might think how can anyone be so happy when they are literally giving books away and not making any money from it? My answer to that is……it’s not always about the $$$ sign. I do what I do because I love it! Writing and being creative gives me gratification. I am indulging myself. What makes it perfect and so worthwhile is the fact that what I do allows me to share it with you…the public. So it’s all good!!! I benefit from it and so do you, especially the young folks that I cater to; because reading is good and having some great books to read is just supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

When I mentioned it’s not all about the money, don’t get me wrong…I love the royalties when they come too. I pay attention to that (I’m not crazy after all,) but I also pay attention to ranking and last but not least, the top one hundred best selling list. The books that I put on sale for February are on that list. You see, on Amazon, they have a list for top 100 list in free books and top 100 list in paying books. I’ve been in both categories, or I should say my books have been within each of these categories at one time or another. When that happens, it’s like walking the red carpet at the Oscars. As an author, you are in the limelight. You can’t put a price tag on that! It’s just….. supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

So even though there is no jingle jingle in my pockets with a free book give away, I am still benefiting from the book promotion, which means I am still smiling because my books are on the top 100 list. That’s important! As of now and at this very moment The Race is On is at #3, OMG! Ragdoll Talez is at # 17, and Along Came Jelly-Beanz is at #83.  I’m happy to say this is very….. supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

So hurry and get these Ebook deals while they last. Let your kids enjoy a good book this weekend. Of course I’m not saying don’t get the print versions. You can do that too…..Parents who love to encourage the love of reading into their kids. I do have 12 titles to choose from, including two novels for young adult reading. Books for everybody!

Kindle Kids

Kindle Kids

I am sitting here thinking about the Kindle. So, what do I do…I blog about it.

Does your child have their very own electronic gadget? I have to admit, I went crazy with this tablet stuff. As a matter of fact, I have three, two androids and a Galaxy. Why do I have 3? Because one of them is always charging. You just have to have a backup.

All three of the tablets have the Kindle app so I can catch up with my reading. Yep, I have books galore downloaded or is it uploaded? Anyway, whichever it is…I have my library of books to dive into.

So what are your young children reading on their electronic app?
As parents, do you select all the books that you want your child to read, or is this something you do together when it comes to buying books that they like? Are the books age appropriate? Does your child like pictures books? What attracts your child to a certain book? Is it the title, the cover, or perhaps the characters? How do you decide what book or books to buy for your “Kindle child?” Do you browse, or do you already have titles stuck in your head to check out?

Well, let me add a few more titles for you to check out while you are browsing the children’s book department on Amazon.Com. I just love that online store, because all of my books are there. As a matter of fact, two new ones have been added and a third to come soon; all in the category of children books. Oh, and I can’t forget to tell you this either, two of my books are remaining on the best seller list. Hot diggity-dog, what do you think of that? So, grab yourself a pencil and a piece of paper and jot these titles down. BOOKS FOR YOUNG READERS, AGES-7-9

The Language of Ella Rose

sign language chart

Guess what, Broken Voices is standing strong on Amazon’s 100 best seller list as of today, coming in at #62 under peer pressure. Springtime is good for Ella Rose.

Broken Voices Kindle edition

If by chance you don’t know it by now, Ella Rose is a female character who is deaf. Most times she reads lips as well as use sign language when she communicates. But speaking with her hands in the open is not a reality that she wants to share with the world, only to her closest friend whom she trust will not spill her secret.
Do you know anything about sign language or speaking without using your voice? How do you think you would manage if you had the disability of being hearing impaired? How would you deal with your peers in a public school setting? In the case of Ella Rose, she is outstanding when it comes to dealing with her physical problems, even when she tries to cover them up and hide the situation from the world. In my eyes, she is a winner, a go-getter and one thing for sure, she is not a quitter regardless of her defeats or her enemy.

Get the full story in two books as you follow her saga.

A Lioness Tale: Kumani

zoo lioness and cubs

Since this is Zoo day around here, because it is Easter Monday at The National Zoo. This is a good time to talk about my book and share the wonders of the wild with you.

A New Home for Her Cubs

Kumani is still riding high on the best seller list and I am happy about that. Her e-book is still popular. Don’t you think the lioness and her cubs at the National Zoo, could be the splitting image of Kumani and her babies?

Did you ever wonder how I came up with the idea for this story about Kumani and her wild imagination? It all started when I was watching TV, I think it was Animal Planet or Wild Kingdom and they were talking about lions and their habitats. They even mentioned how it is the female lion who actually does all the hunting for food. Lo and behold, that’s when my brain started spinning around and poof, just like that a story started dancing around in my head about a lioness who was ready to forget all about her lioness heritage and responsibilities because it was a lot of hard work. She decided to give it all up, including her pride and find something more suitable to her taste. Yeah, Kumani has a wild imagination and she isn’t afraid to act upon it. I must say, this is a cute story and a great read for young readers all over the globe. Read the story and listen to Kumani’s roars. Watch Bantu escort her on her journey to somewhere that is perfect and ideal. These two animals will make you laugh and keep you turning the pages of this book as you discover what it is like to be a lion…not just any ole lion, but a lioness whose name is Kumani. She has a mind of her own.

So keep an eye out for this lion because you will never know where you might see her.

zoo lion

Do you think this lion looks like Kumani, if not…ask yourself why.

A Little Book Talk

Broken Voices Kindle edition

Did you notice that not only is this still on the best seller list, it also has 5 star ratings? Which means, that this book is a great read. So, if you don’t have it, or carrying it around on your Kindle or Nook; you are missing out on the saga of Ella Rose. It might not be on the New York best seller list, but it is on the Amazon best 100 best seller list, coming in today at #57 under peer pressure. Maybe New York should pick this one up because it’s been hanging in the best seller list for a few weeks….just saying, what do you think? I believe this book is worth a showing on the New York best seller’s list, so what are they waiting for?

A New Home for Her Cubs

Kumani is coming in at #84 today on the best seller list of Amazon.com. This is some kind of lioness, she got a taste of being on the top like a star and she is refusing to step back. I don’t blame her because her story is a must read. You will be able to visualize her story as you turn the pages. Imagine the look on a young reader’s face when Bantu the parrot, tells Kumani that she will always be a lion. What? Is Kumani trying to be something she is not? If a male lion is called a king, then a female lion should be a queen…am I right or wrong? Well, I’m not going to give the story away, you will just have to read the book for yourself to find out what Kumani is up too. Read why she wants to leave the wilderness and if she is successful with what she wants to do.

A New Home for Her CubsFYI:

Checking the status of my books and guess what. Kumani is still doing her thing. “A New Home for Her Cubs” is still on the 100 best seller list, coming in @ #86 under African fiction. This must really be a popular book among Kindle readers. Kumani says thanks everyone for reading about her adventure. She only ask that you leave a review at Amazon.com. That will help her with her journey. It took her awhile to get back in the swing of things, but she is now moving about quite well now.

New Line Press Kidz and Teenz

Whenever you are surfing the web with kids at your side, you have to be mindful of what site you click on. However, when you are window shopping and looking for great reads for your children; put your mind at ease when you stop and look on places such as nlpkidz.wordpress.com and nlpteenz.wordpress.com. These are family friendly sites that will not give you a heart attack when you and your children are looking for new books titles. You can trust that New Line Press Publisher delivers only the best in reading material for you and the entire family. Quite often, when you are searching for books, you might not even consider, who published the book because you just look at only the cover, title and read the back jacket or blurb before you decide to pick up a book. But, publishers are just as important as the writer/author. The two go hand in hand. There wouldn’t be one without the other.
Anyway, when you stop by nlpkidz.com and nlpteenz.com The titles and covers will blow you away because they are alluring and eye catching. So stop by often and keep yourself updated on what is happening at these two sites that cater to parents, kidz and their teenz. I bet when you ask your child, or children if they see anything that might be appealing to them, they will tell you yes.

New Line Press latest book that they published was in March, 2014. The book that made its debut was Bittersweet Dayz, a novel for young adults. Take a look, you will see it on nlpteenz.com along with others. But guess what else, another of Nlpteenz book is on the top 100 best seller list on Amazon, coming in at 87. This is the e-book version of Broken Voices. Another best seller, sits at nlpkidz page. You will discover that “A New Home for Her Cubs” is a best seller too.
