The Joys of Interviews

Besides promoting and marketing, another thing that authors must do for the sake of their books is doing author interviews. I remember my very first audio interview quite well. I was so nervous, even though the interview was over the phone and all I had to do was speak normal. Everything was being recorded to air at a later date. You would have thought that I was sitting on a TV show, like Oprah being interviewed. Thank goodness I wasn’t.

I was nervous, but yet excited at the same time. The interviewee was nice and after awhile, I was able to calm down because he made me feel comfortable, just like talking to an old friend over the phone. The interview lasted for about 30 minutes as we talked about me as an author and all of my books. But, there was an embarrassing moment to deal with.
