Yep, I am sitting here working on the weekend. You want to know why? Because I am an author and I have to do what I have to do… and because I don’t mind doing it.
I was sitting at my desk and noticing that my books for youngsters are lacking one key essential, the key essential that keeps them happy and alive. Can you guess what that is? It is really simple, I’d do it myself if it didn’t seem too egotistical or vain; besides, it not too professional. I do have my ethics in tact. The one key essential that I am talking about are book reviews.
What do you think makes a book impressionable? Do you think it is the cover alone or the information on the back of the book that makes a title stand out? Perhaps you think it’s a preview of the book, showing a few pages of what is on the inside. All of these factors are very important and essential. But guess what, a reader’s review after reading a book is vital to the success of the book on the market as well. Customers often consider what other people have said about a particular book before they decide to buy, regardless if the book cost pennies, such as in e-books. Reviews counts and they matter. For authors reviews are like golden nuggets. They are also priceless. So remember the next time you purchase a book….please leave a review.
If you have purchased any of my books for youngsters, my titles can use a few too. Which ones have you read? Readers can and do make a difference when it comes to books. You are just as important and essential as the book cover itself.
