Rise and Shine

cartoon girls smelling flowers

Early to bed, early to rise; makes a person… healthy, wealthy and wise. Well, I was in the bed early last night and I woke up early this morning, before my usual time. As far as healthy, I am feeling a little sore from the yard work of yesterday. Wealthy…I am still waiting for my ship to come in. I am so glad I am a patient person. Wise….I am still working on that one. However, I do learn something new everyday…well almost every day. Yesterday I learned I should never mess around in my flower garden without having a chair to sit on. Bending and stooping is not good or comfortable for the legs, you will pay for it later. LOL How come I keep forgetting how old I really am? I was going to trim the junk from the fence today, but guess what…I think I better save that for another day, letting my body recuperate from yesterday before I add more stress to it. So, I guess I will be puttering around inside….maybe because I see the sun coming out. Strange things happen when the sun comes out and the air is warm.

With that being said, let me ask you, what’s on your agenda for today? Are you reading any good books? I started on another read and it’s called “The Preacher’s Wife”. This story pertains to the Amish way of life…it is interesting and keeping me turning the pages as intrigue, blackmail, suspense and love is introduced into the story. So far the chapters I’ve read are rated G. Books don’t always have to be mushy-slushy for you to enjoy it. I believe you can trust your young adult readers with this book; just like you can trust them reading appropriate material such as Broken Voices and Bittersweet Dayz….Hey, those are my books, did you know that? Have you read them? If you did, what is the main character’s name? Who is her best friend? What is her secret? In her preparations for the prom, what is the color of her dress? No cheating on this pop quiz.

I will end this now and give you time to think. I hope to see some answers.
